What we cover

Made to fit, not made to fill a gap

Almost no London property has a square wall or a level floor. That's exactly why bespoke joinery beats flat-pack: everything is scribed to the wall you actually have, not the one the drawing assumes.

  • Alcove joinery. Shelving, cupboards and media units built into chimney breasts.
  • Fitted wardrobes. Floor-to-ceiling storage designed around the room and the eaves.
  • Doors. Internal and external doors hung, plus locks, closers and draught-proofing.
  • Mouldings. Skirting, architrave, picture rails and cornice matched to period.
  • Structural. Stud walls, loft hatches, staircase repairs and floor levelling.
  • Outdoors. Decking, pergolas, fencing, gates and garden storage.

Common jobs

What people usually call us about

Alcove shelving

The single best-value bit of joinery in most London living rooms.

Fitted wardrobes

Built in place, so no gaps at the top and none down the side.

Doors that stick

Rehung, eased and adjusted — often a half-hour job, not a new door.

Skirting & architrave

Matched to the original profile in period properties.

Decking & pergolas

Built to last a British winter, not one good summer.

Flat-pack & TV mounting

The jobs that eat a weekend, done in an afternoon.

Questions

Before you call

Do you make the joinery on site or in a workshop?

Both, depending on the piece. Carcasses are usually built in the workshop for a cleaner finish, then scribed and fitted on site. Simpler work is made in place.

Can you match the mouldings in my Victorian flat?

Usually yes. We take a profile from the existing moulding and either source a match or have it run bespoke. It's the detail that decides whether new work reads as original.

Do you paint the joinery too?

We can — our decorators finish most joinery jobs, either as part of the same quote or as a separate stage. Priming before fitting gives a noticeably better result.

How long does a set of alcove units take?

Typically two to four days on site for a pair of alcoves, plus lead time for materials. We'll give you a dated programme with the quote.

Will you take the old units away?

Yes. Removal, waste disposal and making good the wall behind are included unless the quote says otherwise.
